FlatTracker

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 1 July 2026

FlatTracker is a personal apartment-search tracker. This policy covers both the FlatTracker web app and the “FlatTracker Importer” browser extension.

What we process

  • Your account: email address (via Firebase Authentication) so you can sign in and only see your own data.
  • Apartment entries you create: listing details, notes, statuses, viewing dates and image references, stored in Cloud Firestore scoped to your account.
  • Listing page content: when you click the browser extension (or use the in-app “Fetch listing data”), the page’s HTML is sent to our server to extract the listing fields.

How the extension works

The extension only reads a page when you explicitly click its button. It sends that page’s HTML to the FlatTracker server, which uses an AI provider (OpenRouter) to extract the listing details and stores any selected images in Cloudflare R2. It does not run in the background, does not track your browsing, and contains no analytics or ads. Your optional settings (the app URL) are stored locally in your browser.

Third-party services

  • Google Firebase — authentication & database.
  • OpenRouter — AI extraction of listing pages you import.
  • Cloudflare R2 — storage of listing images.

Data sharing & retention

We do not sell your data or use it for advertising. Data is shared with the providers above only to deliver the features you use. Your apartment entries remain until you delete them or your account.
